Chinanews, Beijing, May 10 - The property industry in China has aroused more and more strong complaint these years, and the recently released annual report on the industry by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences proves that it does have quite a lot of problems within.
Though the property industry has contributed quite a large share to China's rapid economic growth, it is still infamous1 for fake ads, poor product quality, tax evasion2, and worst of all, corruption3.
Quite a lot of Chinese property tycoons4 have used bribes5 to gang up with some officials and take advantage of their power, to become rich. It is said that the property industry is the most corrupted6 of all. Statistics also show that about 1/3 of arrested bribees were involved in the property industry, particularly the approving of land usage rights.
