Chinanews, Beijing, November 15 – Vehicle navigation systems, especially GPS (Global Pointing System) terminals, will surely have a bright future in China.
By the end of 2005, less than 100 thousand vehicles in China were equipped with GPS and other navigation devices, less than 2%, much lower than the global market. It is estimated that from 2006 to 2009, the vehicle navigation device market will boom by at least 50% every year, and the total market outlet1 will be nearly 10 billion yuan by 2009. Currently there are about 15 million cars in China, whose owners will be potential customers of navigation devices, and bring a vast market in the near future. Even only 10% of them choose the convenience of navigation devices, it will be a one-million-scale market.
