Chinanews, Beijing, November 24 – According to the State Statistics Bureau, the average monthly income of Beijingers per capita is 1,878.32 yuan, the highest in China, and the second highest is Shanghainese, who enjoy an average monthly income of 1,868.76 yuan per capita.
This is revealed in a recent report by SSB on 56,000 Chinese families' population, employment, total income and disposable income.
In terms of disposable income, Shanghainese have more to spend than Beijingers, averaging 1,691.96 yuan as against Beijings' 1,668.37 yuan per capita per month.
However, all the figures of the two cities above are much higher than the national level. The report reveals that the average monthly income of Chinese nationwide is 1,058.89 yuan, with only 977.56 yuan being disposable.
