Last June 13, Consumer Product Safety Commission of the US and RC2, an American toy company, jointly3 announced that 1.5 million toy trains made in China would have to be recalled by the manufacture, as their paint had been confirmed to contain too much lead. These toy trains, which were covered with fake paint, were produced in Foshan, Guangdong Province. One week ago (August 2), Fisher, a Mattel company, returned 967 thousand toys made in China. These toys were also made in China, and they contained too much lead, too. At present, the local police and the GAQSIQ are investigating the origin of the fake paint used by the two toy producers in Foshan.
