Chinanews, Beijing, Oct 18 – As it is getting cooler in Beijing, many pet dogs have begun to wear clothes. In order to raise the quality of pet dog clothes, China Textile Association recently published some rules to set industrial standards on such clothes for the first time in history. The rules will start to take effect next month, the Legal Evening News reported.
The rules clearly specify1 the outer look quality standards that pet dog clothes should meet and some of the criteria2 that pet clothes should meet in their physical and chemical makings. According to the rules, the raw materials used for such pet clothes should meet related national or industrial standards and a pet dog garment can only contain one flaw at most, although the flaws may vary from uneven3 clothes thickness to oil or rust4 stains, or color patches. In order to make sure that dogs wear their clothes comfortably, the rules say that the collarband should be neat and the neck should be made appropriately. The collar button should be placed at the right place and the clothes should not lose color or become too large or small after being washed. Considering that dogs move around very often, the rules specify that the sewing made to the clothes should be good and the decorations on the clothes should be durable5. According to the rules, the sewing slots should remain invisible. This will make the clothes look nicer. With autumn coming, various kinds of pet clothes are being sold in the market now. The prices of these clothes vary, depending on the brand names and the materials used.
