| Chinanews, Nanjing, December 28 – The Chinese movie industry has finally come out of the depression, and now it is witnessing a growth even faster than that of the country's GDP.
Box office value of cinemas in China had long stayed around one-billion-yuan scale in the past; however, it is estimated1 that it will exceed2 2.6 billion in 2006, a 600 million growth compared with 2005.
Besides great leap in box office figure, the Chinese movie industry has also produced a large number of good movies, and built numerous3 well-quipped new cinemas. In fact, the world has started to look at Chinese movies in a different light.
