Chinanews, Beijing, January 17 – According to Zhang Ding, the director of Vehicles Sector1 of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Industry and Commerce, Beijing ranks first among Chinese cities in the holding of vehicles. In 2006 alone, 714.2 thousand vehicles were purchased in Beijing, the first time for the figure to hit the 700-thousand mark, including 322 thousand second-hand2 vehicles.
In fact, the sales of second-hand auto3 market have kept growing by some 120 thousand vehicles in the past few years, much more than the 19,000 in regular auto market. Second-hand auto market will be an important growth point for auto industry in Beijing in 2007.
