U.S. President Barack Obama will pay a state visit to China and attend the 22nd Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Meetings in Beijing from Nov. 10 to 12.

Foreign Ministry¹ spokesman² Qin Gang says Obama is visiting at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.

The leaders of the two countries will exchange views on Sino-U.S. relations as well as major international and regional issues of common concern.

Meanwhile, Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto will also pay a state visit to China and attend the APEC Economic Meetings.

President Xi Jinping will chair the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting. On the sidelines, President Xi will meet with leaders of other APEC nations.
