Apple Inc has officially announced the launch of a trade-in program for iPhone and iPad products in China starting from March 31, 2015.

苹果公司于2015年3月31日在中国正式宣布实施iPhone和iPad产品以旧换新计划。

According to the "reuse and recycling program," consumers can exchange their old models of iPhones and iPads to iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and any iPad model which is prior iPad Air 2 (exclusive) at Apple stores in the Chinese mainland.

The products to be traded in must be bought from the mainland market and accessed by the retail¹ staff.

The company has made an announcement on its website, but details are only available from consulting to an Apple Specialist.

However media reports have suggested that a fully² functional³ iphone 4S may be just equivalent to a discount of 500 yuan or 80 U.S. dollars when being traded for iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus.

So far, the program is only applied⁴ to Apple retail store.
