A freight¹ train linking Lanzhou city, the capital of northwest China's Gansu province to Kazakhstan's Almaty, has made its inaugural² journey from Lanzhou on July 5, 2015.

More than 2,000 tons of China-made machines and equipment will be sent to Almaty by this train.
