The International Energy Agency says China energy-related carbon dioxide emissions1 have seen the largest decrease in volumes, compared to other countries last year.
国际能源署表示,去年中国与能源相关的二氧化碳排放量与其它国家相比减少最高。
China's emissions declined by 1.5 percent in 2015, mainly driven by a reduction in coal use.
Last year, coal generated less than 70 percent of Chinese electricity. That is 10 percentage points less than in 2011.
Over the same period, low-carbon sources in China jumped by around 10 percent, with hydro and wind accounting2 for most of the increase.
Meanwhile, global carbon emissions have stayed flat for a second year in a row.
