Sloths2 are famous for being the laziest members of the animal kingdom, so one particularly sprightly3 member of the species caused quite a stir when it was spotted4 doing yoga on the side of the road in Costa Rica.
人们都认为树懒是全天下最懒的动物,所以当几个背包客在哥斯达黎加某条马路边看到一只热爱运动的树懒时,大家都惊讶不已。
The animal was caught in a stretch pose by a couple of passing backpackers, who
decided5 to join it for a few moves.
Aussie backpacker Claudia Moser, 33, who's currently travelling through Central America with her British partner Anthony Pace, 30, were treated to the ultimate off-the-beaten-track experience when they spotted the
sloth1 on the side of a road.
In what appears to be the sloth taking a moment to hold his gate pose - practiced by yogis around the world - Claudia couldn't resist
mimicking6 the sloth in its moment of tranquility.
The budding photographers were luckily armed with their cameras and captured this rare photo of the notoriously slow creature set amongst the lush green surrounds.
Claudia, from Bondi, in Sydney, said: 'We were on a shuttle bus taking us from Moin to Cahuita, when our driver suddenly stopped and
pointed7 out the sloth on the road.
'I couldn't believe it when I spotted he was doing my favourite yoga pose. Sloths are supposed to be lazy.
'I've been practicing yoga for years, so I had to join the sloth on the
grassy8 verge9 and get into position. It was so much fun.'
