The founder¹ of China's largest property developer Vanke is facing the possibility of being dumped from the company.

Vanke founder and chair Wang Shi is under threat from major shareholders³ who are considering dumping 12 of the company's executives.

The two main shareholders are both units of Shenzhen-based private developer Baoneng.

The two units reportedly hold more than 10 percent of Vanke's shares.

The dispute is reportedly connected to Vanke announced agreement with Shenzhen Metro⁴ Group to acquire a unit of the company for 45.6 billion yuan, which would make Metro Group Vanke's largest shareholder² instead.
