The 79-year-old received his permanent residence card at Shanghai Exit-Entry Administration Bureau on Monday, April 2, 2018.
Wüthrich, who works at Shanghai Science and Technology University, is the first ever Nobel laureate to gain a Chinese permanent residence card, a Chinese green card.
