Shanghai has published a new regulation on the employment of people who are in close contact with minors¹, restricting sex offenders² from engaging in specific occupations, according to local authorities.

 

上海市政府发布一份新规定，完善与未成年人有密切联系的从业人员的招录、禁止性侵违法犯罪人员进入某些行业。

 

People who have been convicted of sexual offence are banned from professions that are directly in contact with minors, such as teachers, doctors, trainers and childcare workers, as well as those who have close contact with minors such as security guards and drivers.

 

Volunteers who have close contact with minors are also required to be reviewed.
