Dongfeng Honda Automobile1 Co. Ltd. has issued recalls for 29,297 Inspire sedans over an engine design flaw, according to China's market regulator.
东风本田汽车有限公司宣布召回29297辆Inspire汽车,这些车辆存在发动机设计缺陷。
The recall, in effect from Aug. 30, involves some Inspire sedans manufactured between March 8, 2018 and Aug. 8, 2019, said a statement on the website of the State Administration for Market Regulation.
A design flaw in the engine may cause condensed water to enter the
combustion2 chamber3, forcing the engine into a protection mode of limited
acceleration4 and posing safety risks, according to the statement.
The company said it would install devices to
offset5 the effects of the design flaw free of charge.
