Chinanews, Changsha, March 13 – Over 120 parents in Changsha went to a special dating party held in a teahouse on March 11, to look for future spouses1 for their children (some for their nephews or nieces).
Actually, many young people in China have too tight work schedules to widen their circle of acquaintances. Thus it is not easy for them to find their future spouses. This problem often becomes a big concern of their parents, and that's why there are so many dating parties of this kind. “Look at the picture of my girl. She is an accountant,”said Mrs Zhang, with a photo album in her hand. The girl in the picture is smiling a sweet smile. In fact, about 60% of the parents come here to find the future sons-in-law of their daughter, who are aged2 between 26 and 32, and are highly educated. At such parties, the picture and resumes of the young men's are put on the tables in the center of the hall, and you can see the parents of girls busy taking information down and talking to each other. As luck would have it, the young men available at the parties are mostly younger than the girls, so it is not easy for the parents of the girls to accomplish their mission.
