Chinanews, Beijing, Jun. 28 – Lu Dadao, academician of the Chinese Academy of Science, revealed on Tuesday that there had already emerged a “Great Leap Forward” in urbanization in China, which would very probably cause adverse1 effects.
Lu said this during a lecture on economic geography at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Lu also advised that China’s local governments needed to improve land use rules and make sustainable managements on energy and water demand and transportation. He also pointed2 out that local governments should do more to protect environment and stop involving in real estate investment.
