WENZHOU, Aug. 19 -- Two people injured in the tornado1 that hit the Longgang township of Wenzhou City in east China's Zhejiang Province died in hospital, bringing the death toll2 to 11, said local sources on Sunday.
Both victims are among the eight seriously injured by collapsed3 houses. The remaining six are still under medical treatment.
Three men and six women whose ages range from 30 to 75 were killed, according to earlier report.
A gale4 belt of 800-meter broad and eight-kilometer long swept through the Longgang township, Cangnan County of Wenzhou City at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday from the sea.
The tornado wrecked5 156 houses. Sixty-two people were injured in the mishap6, with eight described as "in serious condition".
