Chinanews, Nanjing, August 21 – According to a survey conducted in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, about 50% of the 2 million respondents wish their future spouses1 to be at similar social positions to their own, especially those from better families.
However, not many of the respondents are willing to marry farmers, fisherpeople or herdspeople. Besides, economic conditions are of decisive2 impotance to them in choosing their future spouses, as 60% of the respondents admit that they would like to marry people with houses of his/her own. The survey also finds that most of the respondents are optimistic about love affairs. If their parents don’t like their dates, they will try their best to persuade them into accepting their future children-in-law.
