Chinanews, Beijing, August 23 – Quite a lot of Chinese seek medical help abroad, while many foreigners have also come to China for its economical medical service, especially during the Christmas holiday, when hospitals in Beijing usually receive large number of foreign patients.

Besides, traditional Chinese medicine therapy has also become a major attraction of hospitals in China. Jason, from Ireland, was paralyzed after his head got hurt in an accident. Chinese doctors eventually helped him to stand up again. A company president from the US even travel to China by air every month to see TCM doctors, who have helped him a lot with his heart disease.

There are also many foreigners who have come here for cheap surgeries. In fact, averagely it takes only 10% of the cost in the US to receive a heart bypass surgery.

Some patients consider China as a good sanatorium, where they could have inexpensive medicines and enjoy beautiful landscapes surrounding it. Sometimes, some tourists, though fit as a fiddle1, would also like to visit TCM hospitals to gratify their curiosity.
