Chinanews, Shanghai, Sept.22 – An online dating agency in Shanghai will invite 20 young Chinese millionaires to take part in a dating party, and all the female participants will be able to “bid” for the millionaire they like.   A ticket to the party will cost 58,800 yuan, while the ticket price of a similar party last year was only 28,800 yuan.   “We will offer free tickets to some of our members,” said an organizer of the party.   It is said that all the participants will be carefully selected. About 50% of the millionaires will be the heirs of family enterprises, in their 20s.   “I don't think it's a good idea to host such a dating party, as it emphasizes too much on wealth and the participants might miss the meaning of true love,” said Gu Xiaoming, a professor of Fudan Univeristy.
