Chinanews, Shanghai, October 18 – Cai Meiqin, a nutritionist from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, conducted a survey on the health and diet of office ladies in Beijing, Guangzhou and Shanghai, finding that quite a large proportion of Beijing office ladies are overweight while many Shanghai office ladies are underweight.
The survey covers the office ladies aged1 between 25 and 40, with an monthly income of at least 2,000 yuan. 17% of respondents in Beijing are overweight (1.5% even obese), while 34% of Shanghai respondents are underweight. The proportion of overweight in Guangzhou respondents is 8%. Respondents from Shanghai are the tallest among the three cities. “Office ladies should pay attention to their nutritional2 conditions, for either too thin or too fat is bad for their health, ” said Cai.
