Chinanews, Beijing, Nov.11 – Yang Xu, the fattest man in Beijing, currently weighs 240 kilos. Planning to lose 100 kilos of his weight in one year, Yang signed a contract with a hospital in Changchun, Jilin Province on Thursday, but the doctor told him that the service will cost him 110 thousand yuan.
Guan Qun, an organizer of an obesity1 reduction association said that currently there are 200 million overweight adults in China, and 90 million of them suffer from obesity, and most of them are young people. Later the hospital promised to give him free medical treatment, but Yang had to take some herbal medicine in addition. After a year, Yang's weight can thus be dramatically decreased, said the doctor. Zhu Lei, a young man also from Jilin, had successfully lost 120 kilos of his weight during one year of treatment in this hospital.
