Chinanews, Beijing, November 12 – According to a report by the Beijing Youth Daily, the Beijing Municipal Health Administration called upon local restaurants to give their response to the smoke-free appeal of last April, but not many restaurants are enthusiastic for it so far.
Currently, there is only one smoke-free Chinese restaurant in Beijing. According to a research by the National Disease Prevention and Control Center, only 27.9% of 305 restaurants and pubs in Beijing have applied1 smoke-control methods, especially Western-style fast-food restaurants.
