Chinanews, Taiyuan, Nov. 16 – According to Shanxi Youth Daily, an extravagant¹ wedding ceremony was held in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province. A local entrepreneur², father of the bridegroom, spent well over 10 million yuan for it.

Many witnesses said that they had never seen a wedding ceremony of such scale in Shanxi Province before. The entrepreneur told the reporter that his family had been very poor for long years, and now he hoped his fortune could make his son happy. The entrepreneur also revealed³ that he made several girlfriends in his early days, but all of them left him because he was so down and out.

The bridegroom said that his wedding ceremony was organized by his friends, and his colleagues had given him thousands of yuan as wedding gifts.
