Chinanews, Beijing, Dec. 11 – In 2007, ten industrial sectors2 has witnessed the fastest income growth, according to a recent survey published by chinahr.com, the Market News reported.
According to this survey, the highest income growth has occurred in IT industry, whose average income growth has reached 6% this year, higher than CPI growth.
However, IT industry is also a sector1 where income disparity is the largest. In this sector, some people can earn as much as 10,000 yuan a month while other people can earn only 1,000 yuan a month. This salary difference arises from the different jobs people do. Generally speaking, people working in technical support, research and development, sales and marketing3, and department managers too can earn a good annual salary – 40,000-200,000 yuan.
Computer software engineering is also a nice job. Half of the people working in computer software earn above 3,000 yuan a month.
Next is the telecommunications industry, which offers high salaries because a large number of human resources is needed in this industry. In Beijing, for example, a department manager or a senior engineer who has been working in this field for 2-3 years can make an annual income of 40,000-150,000 yuan at most, or 80,000 yuan on average. Sales managers working in this field can also earn much money – their annual income may range from 40,000 yuan to 160,000 yuan. However, the medium figure for their income stays at 100,000 yuan, which is relatively4 higher than that made by engineers.
In addition, consulting service industry has emerged as a lucrative5 business in recent years and as a result, the salaries for people working in this sector have also risen quickly. In Beijing, a person who works as a consultant6 in a private company can earn 30,000 – 150,000 yuan a year and senior consultants7' salaries can even reach 150,000 – 500,000 yuan a year.
In infrastructure8 industries, if one has obtained expertise9 in a certain field, one can sure make good money. As the state supports the development of the equipment manufacturing industry, people working in this field are greatly needed in the market.
When browsing10 through the pages of a newspaper, one can often see that lots of companies post job positions for equipment engineers, mechanical engineers, mechanical designers or program managers. People working in this field can earn 100,000 yuan a year, or even more.
