Chinanews, Beijing, January 18 – A man committed suicide by blowing himself up near a rubbish dump in Chaijiafeng Village, Haidian District, Beijing at 18:31 on January 15, 2007. No one else was hurt, and the police are checking on the man's identity and the reason for his suicide.
“It was like an earthquake, and I was bumped off the bed. Then I went out to see what happened, only to find nothing but part of a man's leg. I was very shocked, and ran back to my house as quickly as I could,” said a witness from. The glass of the houses near the scene was all broken to pieces, and the one house closest to the scene had all but collapsed1.
