Pakistan's President Asif Ali Zardari has returned to Pakistan after receiving medical treatment in Dubai, officials say. 巴基斯坦总统阿西夫·阿里·扎尔达里在迪拜接受治疗之后已回国。 Mr Zardari's office said the president had been advised to rest His departure to Dubai on 6 December for treatment of a heart condition led to rumours1, denied by officials, that he might resign. It is not clear when he will resume his duties as president. His office earlier said he had been advised to rest. A statement last week said that all tests carried out on him had produced results "within normal range". Pakistan's civilian2 government has been under pressure in recent weeks over a scandal involving a leaked memo3 in which officials allegedly sought US help against a possible military coup4 earlier this year. President Zardari, 56, denies any role in the memo. Pakistan's relations with the US have taken a turn for the worse since the American raid in May which killed al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin5 Laden6. Since then, several senior US officials have accused Pakistan of backing militant7 groups that carry out attacks against Western and Afghan troops across the border in Afghanistan.
