因宗教组织激烈反对,并称其表演服装和风格有伤风化、会毒害青少年,Lady Gaga原定于6月3日在雅加达举办的大型演唱会未能获得批文。 Lady Gaga has been declined a permit to perform in the world's largest Muslim country after fundamentalist groups said her risque(败坏风俗的) outfits1 and dance moves would undermine Islamic values and corrupt2 the country's youth. Indonesia's national police spokesman Boy Rafli Amar said the permit for her June 3 "Born This Way Ball" concert - the biggest show on her Asian tour - had been denied. The local promoter, Michael Rusli, could not immediately be reached for comment. Earlier, he said it would be "regrettable" if police didn't give the clearance3. Fans have been eagerly awaiting Lady Gaga, he said, with every seat in Jakarta's 52,000-seat Gelora Bung Karno stadium scooped4 up - half in the first two hours of sales. Indonesia, a secular5(世俗的) country of 240 million people, has more Muslims than any other in the world. Though it has a long history of religious tolerance6, a small extremist fringe has become more vocal7 in recent years. Hard-liners have loudly criticized Lady Gaga, saying the suggestive nature of her show threatened to undermine the country's moral fibre. Some threatened to use physical force to prevent her from stepping off the plane. The chairman of Islamic Defenders8 Front (FPI), which planned to protest against the American artiste's June 3 performance in Jakarta, said earlier: "We will stop her from setting foot on our land. She had better not dare spread her satanic faith in this country. Her style is vulgar, her sexual and indecent clothes will destroy our children's sense of morality. She's very dangerous." Mariska Renata, a fan who had tickets to the Jakarta show, said: "I'm very disappointed." She said by bowing to the wishes of "troublemakers," authorities only give them more power. "We are mature enough to be able to separate our own moral values from arts and culture," Renata said. Lady Gaga's Asian tour started late last month and many of the stops have sold out. The South Korean concerts were limited to fans 18 or older because conservatives there raised objections. 点击收听单词发音
