The new visa rules for Chinese and US citizens travelling to one-another's countries are now in effect.

US President Barack Obama announced on November 10, a deal to extend visas for Chinese nationals going to the US to work or study. US Secretary of State John Kerry has handed out the first batch1 of new 10-year visas to 11 Chinese nationals at the US Embassy in Beijing.
"With this announcement, we are making an important investment in our relationship, US and China. And believe me, this will pay huge dividends2 for American and Chinese citizens and it will strengthen both of our economies."
Yang Bo was the first to get the new extended visa.
"With this new visa rule, it is easier for us to go to the US. It's very helpful for interaction among the peoples. I think this is good for business, people-to-people exchange and bilateral3 relations between China and the US."
Chinese authorities are also going to be adopting similar policies for American travellers to China.
The extended visa rules were announced earlier this week as part of US President Barack Obama's trip to China.
