At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang will pay a state visit to China from May 11 to 15 and attend the Belt and Road Forum¹ for International Cooperation.

应中国国家主席习近平之邀，越南国家主席陈大光将于5月11日至15日对中国进行国事访问并参加“一带一路”国际合作高峰论坛。

Chinese leaders will hold talks and meet with Quang during his visit, Chinese Foreign Ministry² spokesperson Geng Shuang said at a daily press briefing Friday afternoon.

According to Geng, both sides will exchange views on consolidating³ good neighborly and friendly ties and deepening pragmatic cooperation.

China-Vietnam ties have good growth momentum⁴ with frequent high-level exchanges, more economic and trade cooperation, as well as increasing cultural exchanges, Geng said.

China is willing to make joint⁵ efforts with Vietnam to push forward the comprehensive strategic partnership⁶ of cooperation, he added.
