Railway construction in the Yangtze River Economic Belt, which comprises nine provinces and two municipalities in China, has witnessed rapid development in recent years.

Railway track and high-speed track in the area hit 43,700 and 15,400 kilometers respectively by November 2020, an increase of 9,120 and 7,824 km from 2015, official data from the National Development and Reform Commission showed on Tuesday.
国家发改委1月5日公布的数据显示，截至2020年11月，长江经济带铁路、高铁通车里程分别达到4.37万公里、1.54万公里，比2015年分别新增9120公里、7824公里；
Highway mileage² was also recorded as 63,700 km by November, up 15,500 km over 2015.
高速公路里程达到6.37万公里，比2015年新增1.55万公里。
High-grade waterway mileage of the Yangtze River's main line and branches reached 10,000 km by the end of 2020. Airport projects in Southwest China's Chengdu and Guiyang also accelerated construction.
截至2020年年底，长江干支线高等级航道里程达上万公里，成都和贵阳的一批枢纽机场项目加快实施。
