China and Singapore have started talks aimed at upgrading their current free trade agreement negotiations1.

The two sides are expected to conclude the negotiations by the end of next year.
The CSFTA, which came into force in January 2009, was the Chinese government's first such agreement with any Asian country.
Under the current terms, 95 percent of Singapore's exports to China are already duty free, while there are no tariffs2 on all Chinese exports to Singapore.
