China's automaker SAIC Maxus has officially supplied 260 vehicles to the Irish Post Office, An Post.

Maxus is the first Chinese automaker to win a deal with a European Union governmental institution.

The LDV V80 vans will be used for logistics and courier services.

World famous auto¹ brands including Toyota and Ford² have also bid for the deal earlier.

With the deal, the company will further penetrate³ into the European market.

This April will also see 3 thousand of its cars going to the British market, with others being shipped to Germany and the Netherlands.

Maxus' vehicles have been already welcomed by a number of developed markets like Australia and New Zealand.
