Jaguar¹ Land Rover has recorded a year of record sales, helped especially by phenomenal sales success in China.

That's according to figures reported by British Guardian² newspaper, which shows that the UK's largest car manufacturer sold over 600,000 vehicles in the year to April.

 

In the Chinese market, the firm saw growth of more than 30 percent during the year.

 

The good news for the company comes as Brexit, the British exit from the European Union, continues to cast a shadow over the UK car industry. 

 

However, Jaguar Land Rover is far from the only car company to credit China for recent successes.

 

In April, the world's largest car manufacturer, Volkswagen, revealed ambitious growth plans for the country.

 

In addition to its leading position globally, the German company is also the largest foreign manufacturer in China.
