Boeing and Okay Airways1 announced today an order for 15 737 MAX airplanes, valued at £1.4 billion at current list prices.

The order consists of eight 737 MAX 10s and seven 737 MAX 8s. Okay Airways becomes one of the launch customers of the 737 MAX 10, the newest member of the MAX family.
Boeing has also recently announced that it is building a manufacturing facility in Sheffield, in partnership2 with the University of Sheffield’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC), making it Boeing's first European manufacturing plant.
The £20 million investment facility will open in 2018 and will manufacture actuation components3 for Boeing’s 737, 737 Max and 777 aircrafts. The components will be used on trailing edge actuation systems that are responsible for extending and retracting4 wing flaps during different phases of flight.
Okay Airlines also signed a memorandum5 of understanding for five 787-9 Dreamliners as part of its long-term fleet strategy and expansion.
