Chinanews, Beijing, May 11 - According to the State Administration of Industry and Commerce of China, the sources of foreign investment in China have even extended to Africa and Latin America.
Currently, there are 16,000 Chinese enterprises financed by investment from Latin American countries, 18.5% more than in 2006. The number of African-invested enterprises is 2,501, 15.3% more. Oceanian countries have also invested on 7,965 Chinese enterprises, 12.8% more. At present, there are some 199 thousand foreign enterprises of other Asian countries registered in China, a 4.5% growth compared with last year, taking up some 72.5% of all the registered foreign enterprises in China. Now, China is attracting investors1 from British Virgin2 Islands, Cayman Islands, Samoa and Mauritius, the 4 major offshore3 finance centers, with its vibrant4 economy. Statistics show that from British Virgin Islands alone, some 13,000 investors have invested in China, 31.9 more than last year, a growth faster than in US, Japan, and Taiwan Province.
