Chinanews, Beijing, June 2 - According to a report by CCTV, pork price in some places of China has started to fall after the implementation1 of macro control measures of the Chinese government.
Take Beijing as an example, the wholesale2 price of pork is 14.8 yuan per kilo, about 2 yuan lower than May 25.
Fuzhou has put all the live pigs available in the 33 farms controlled by the municipal3 government into the market, to ease the demand-supply problem there. However, it still requires more effort to solve the problem, particularly to meet the needs of low-income families.
The pork price in Jilin, Shaanxi, Heilongjiang, Hebei and Liaoning provinces has also started to fall.
Experts believe that besides the effect of macro control measures, the hot weather these days also helped ease the great demand for pork in the market.
