Chinanews, Zhengzhou, Sept 5 – On Tuesday, an A300 freighter left Zhengzhou Airport for New Delhi. Five hours later, it landed at the New Delhi airport, Dong Fang1 Jin Bao reported.
This is the first cargo2 plane put into operation after the Zhengzhou Airport Logistics Company was founded. The foundation of the company marks a new beginning for airport logistics construction in Zhengzhou, which aims to build itself as the airport logistics center in central China region. The company's manager is Pang3 Liangyu. To some people, the name Pang Liangyu might not be new. In July this year, the Henan businessman spent one billion yuan to purchase the German Schwerin-Parchim Baltic Airport. The deal has brought Pang under the spotlight4. As president of Linde Group, Pang recently became the general manager of the newly established Zhengzhou Airport Logistics Company, which started operation only yesterday (Tuesday). Zhengzhou Airport Logistics Company was jointly5 established by Linde Group, Henan Provincial6 Construction and Investment Company, Zhengzhou Municipal Construction Investment Company and Zhengzhou Airport Management Compay, with a registered capital of 50 million yuan. The company finished its business registration7 business on August 31 and Pang became the company’s president. Zhengzhou Airport Logistics Company is so far the largest airport logistics company in Henan Province. The logistics company will open a freight air route to Europe through Linde Group, since the latter has just purchased the Schwerin-Parchim Baltic Airport in Germany. The logistics company plans to extend its business to Europe and Africa in future. In September, Linde Group will officially launch its first flight from Zhengzhou to the Schwerin-Parchim Baltic Airport. In fact, earlier on July 15, the German airport already received a flight from Shanghai's Pudong Airport. At present, many domestic airlines, including China Southern, have opened regular freight services to the Schwerin-Parchim Baltic Airport. Starting from this month, Zhengzhou will become an entrepot, where China's northwest regions will be first transported to Zhengzhou by rail or air and then shipped to Europe.
