| Chinanews, Beijing, Sept 7 – At present, the housing price in Beijing has witnessed a general growth, the price of the houses built near the Olympic Village rising even more quickly.
The information was disclosed1 at the Beijing Autumn Real Estate Exhibition Fair held in the city recently.
At the exhibition fair, this reporter noticed that even the sales price of houses built far from the Olympic Village was not cheap at all. The salespeople2, in promoting the sales, said that their houses would benefit from the upcoming Olympic Games.
At present, many real estate developers try to raise the selling price of their houses at this time of the year when the Olympic Games are coming near. Consumers should have a clear picture of the houses before they make up the purchase decision and they should buy houses based on their affordability3, industrial insiders say.
At the exhibition fair, this reporter saw that the housing projects displayed there not only included those built in Beijing, they also included houses built in Shandong and Hebei provinces.
Of all these houses, those built near the Olympic Village were sold at a much higher price than other houses.
Houses built to the northwestern part of the Olympic Village were sold at 17,000 yuan per square meter.
The housing sales manager of the project said they had very good reasons for selling the house at such a high price.
“After the Olympic Games, all the stadiums and gymnasiums near the houses will be open to the public. This will make the houses here become more expensive. In addition, the environment here is very good since there is an Olympic Forest Park built nearby,” he said.
Information from the Golden Keys Real Estate Company's Marketing4 Research Center shows that the average selling price of the 15 housing projects built near the Olympic Village has exceeded 18,000 yuan per square meter, rising by 350 yuan per square meter in only two weeks.
