Chinanews, Dalian, September 7 – According to Wan1 Gang, the Minister of Science and Technology, China will invest at 10 billion yuan in the next 3 years on the development of new energy sources and energy-efficient technologies.
Wan said that changing of global weather pattern had long been a major concern of the Chinese government. China is the first developing country to have a complete national plan to deal with the problem. At present, the Ministry2 of Science and Technology has made the development of energy-efficient and eco-friendly technologies its major projects to deal with global warming. Meanwhile, the Chinese government will fully3 support individual researchers’ effort in this field to guarantee that all the reliable technologies can be put into practice. Now, China is cooperating with Japan and India in the development of nuclear fusion4 as an energy source. China will also work hard to develop bio-energy and other renewable energy sources.
