Chinanews, Beijing, October 31 – According to a report by NC Nelson, 73% of clients of Chinese commercial banks have to queue for a long time before they can get their service. The situation in Chinese hospitals is only a little better, where 44% of patients have to wait in queues. 43% of customers of retailers1 have the same “queuing problem”, too.
The report covers 1,551 respondents in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. 28% of the respondents say that they eventually chose other banks, having lost their patience, and 66% of them had to leave as they couldn’t afford to waste their time in queuing, and 46% of them had quarrels with bank clerks during waiting.
70% of the respondents suggest that service providers should open more terminals; 44% think related government departments should work to see to that; another 41% simply believe service providers should have more employees to improve efficiency.
Quite a large number of respondents are willing to use self-service at shops, fast-food restaurants or hotels.
