Chinanews, Urumqi, Nov. 7 – The Bianjiang Hotel in Urumqi, capital city of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous¹ Region, has received more and more tourists from abroad. As more merchants make profits in Xinjiang, the city has become a trading hub in China’s northwest.

Xinjiang borders on 8 nations, and the local government has promised to invest 2.3 billion yuan to improve its roads to Russia, Mongolia and Kazakhstan. Currently² Xinjiang’s trade volume with Central Asian countries has increased quickly in recent years. Xinjiang hopes to build more roads and railways as a way to improve its trade with the outside world.

Xinjiang has also built several large enterprises³, hoping them to compete in the world market. The local government also has made strict regulations to protect Chinese enterprises’ rights.
