中国汽车市场11月持续低迷

Auto¹ sales in China continued to slow last month as both passenger and commercial car sales remained subdued².

Car sales expanded 2.3 percent year on year in November, the slowest for any month this year.

The number of vehicles sold in November reached some 2 million, slightly improved from the figures in October and September.

In the first 11 months this year, auto sales totaled about 21 million units, up some 6 percent from the same period last year.

But the growth marked a sharp slowdown from the rate seen a year earlier.

Foreign brands continued to record solid sales performances with German and Japanese cars leading the market.

Notably³, the share of domestic⁴ brands slightly improved, accounting⁵ for nearly 41 percent of the November sales.
