11月3日上午，2020年度国家科学技术奖励大会在北京人民大会堂隆重召开。

 

Two scientists, aircraft designer Gu Songfen and nuclear expert Wang Dazhong, won China's top science award for their outstanding contributions to scientific and technological¹ innovation.

飞机设计大师顾诵芬和核能科学家王大中因在科技创新中的突出贡献荣获国家最高科学技术奖。

 

顾诵芬是我国著名飞机设计大师（a renowned² aircraft designer）、飞机空气动力设计奠基人。他主持了歼教1、初教6、歼8、歼8Ⅱ飞机气动布局设计（he was in charge of the aerodynamic design of the Shenyang JJ-1, the Nanchang CJ-6,  and the Shenyang J-8 and J-8-II)，奠定了我国亚音速飞机和超音速飞机气动力设计的基石(lay the cornerstone for subsonic and supersonic aircraft design in the country)，推动了我国气动力研究、设计基础手段建设发展。

 

王大中是国际著名的核能科学家、教育家（an internationally renowned nuclear energy scientist and educator）。他在先进核能技术研发领域几十年耕耘（he has worked in nuclear energy technology for decades），主持研究、设计、建造、运行成功世界上第一座5MW壳式一体化低温核供热堆（5MW Low Temperature Nuclear Heating Reactor）；主持研发建成了世界第一座具有固有安全特征的10MW模块式球床高温气冷实验堆（10MW High Temperature Gas-cooled Reactor），并积极推动以上两种先进反应堆技术的应用。王大中带领研究团队走出了我国以固有安全为主要特征的先进核能技术的成功之路。
