Chinanews, Shanghai, Sept. 9 – When you walk into a big house of an old factory in Kunming Road of Shanghai, you will be puzzled by the scenery: dazzling yellow ground, graffiti-covered wall, wire netting and tar1 barrels that greet your eyes, and the hip-hop music that greets your ears. You will be curious what place it is. Only two lines of basketball stands will obviously tell you here is a basketball court.
According to the manager Dai Fuqi, a street culture fan, he has established this court in Shanghai under inspiration by New York's "Rucker Park", dubbed2 "World's Mekka of Street Basketball". "There are many street basketball lovers in Shanghai, but few are so full of the tang of street culture as mine. I hope this field based on an out-of-date factory would attract those young street culture enthusiasts," said Dai.
