US President Barack Obama has commented on the FIFA scandal, saying that "people want to make sure that football operates with integrity."

Obama made the comments in Germany, at the G7 summit.

US prosecutors² have charged 14 people including 7 senior FIFA officials, alleging³ that bribes⁴ and kickbacks⁵ of more than 150 million US dollars were accepted over a 24-year period.
