Around 20 percent of Chinese tourists have cancelled their trips to South Korea due to their increasing concern over the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome1 (MERS) outbreak.

An employee from a Chinese tourist agency China Comfort Travel says that they have received many inquiries2 about the disease situation in South Korea, and many of their clients have canceled trips or changed their schedule.
As the China National Tourism Administration and authorities in South Korea have not sent out any notice about prohibiting people leaving or entering South Korea, some travel agencies in China say the tourist groups will depart as planned.
South Korea is one of the top travel destinations for China, with more than 6 million Chinese people visited the country last year.
