All 5A tourist attractions in China are required to be equipped with family toilets, said China's Tourist Administration.

This year, 604 family toilets will be built or renovated¹, with 271 new facilities and 333 rebuilds.

Guangdong province in south China plans to build 29 family toilets this year, and Henan province in central China will conduct a general investigation² on all toilets at 3A tourist attractions (the third best class).

 

In China, family toilets are also called third public toilets, and are essentially³ equivalent to unisex toilets. In America, the White House also has toilets of this kind.
